Everything Girlie in Girl’s Bedroom Furniture

Girls are commonly more meticulous about the stuff found in their bedroom. Preferred texture is stereotypically soft, and favored color is pink, mint green, light velvet, rose or fuchsia. In terms of space, a girl’s cabinet needs to be two times larger than the one in the boy’s room. These are the main deviations found in a girl’s bedroom furniture.

Cabinets for girl’s use need to be designed for hanging a wide array of wardrobe such as gowns, Sunday dresses and all other sorts of long party and cultural dresses. Ideally, built-in hangers inside the armoires designed for female members of the human species should be provided.

Floral designs, whether painted or engraved to add to the girl identity of the furniture pieces found in her room. A huge glass mirror integrated in a cabinet’s door does not mean redundant to the existing mirror in a dresser. Why? It is because the two reflection media have two separate uses. The whole body mirror in the cabinet’s flap door is typically used in fitting gowns, while the vanity mirror in the dresser is mainly used when applying make-up, dressing up her hair, and mostly, testing between a cute and a lovely smile. Consequently, furniture manufacturers should be made aware that the more mirrors found in a room, the higher probability that a girl lives there.

The girlie wall décor and curtains need to blend with the dresser’s paint, the cabinet’s finishing, the headboard’s shade, and the design and color of the bed sheet, comforter and pillows. A floral lampshade sitting atop a low table with a creatively curved mermaid foot stand is well placed on the right side of the headboard.

A long hanging cabinet made of all-glass pop-up cover is necessary to keep those expensive Barbie dolls remain in top shape, their gowns and hair dressed in perpetual party-ready get up.

Girls would need low tables to lean their pretty feet while fixing their toenails. This girlie ritual could not be done in front of a dresser of course. A low table with a drawer for a nail cutting and polishing kit is what a girl would love to have. The table must provide for a space beneath to fit a foot spa kit.

A hanging cabinet inside the bathroom should be included in your little girl’s wish list. She would need to store other girlie stuff than shampoo, hair conditioner, toothpaste, toothbrush and soap. A feminine wash, extra packs of feminine pads, and accessories of hers would not fit in a usual bathroom tray. Of course, designing that hanging closet to have doors made up of mirror-glass is a plus.

Girls bedroom furniture with four poster beds to hold adornments made of silk and fine net cloth usually drawn by illustrators of fairy tale books remains attractive even during these modern times. Victorian art is a normal preference of the female gender. Every little girl would love to sleep in the magic royal couch sent by fairy godmother, and why not.
